About Our Micro-Farm

Our Vision
We envision a future where every desert community is transformed into a flourishing oasis of fresh, homegrown food, where neighbors come together to grow, share, and sustain one another.
About Our Family
Our journey toward healthy eating began with a simple realization: our son, who is now 5, began acting out after consuming certain foods. After discovering that these foods contained Red Dye 40, we decided to eliminate it from his diet, and the change was incredible. The difference in his behavior was immediate, and it made us more aware of the impact that food can have on our well-being.
When our son was born, he faced a challenging start with open-heart surgery at just four months old. He was diagnosed with Tetralogy of Fallot (ToF), a condition that required immediate intervention. His journey has been an inspiring reminder of the importance of health and wellness, which has fueled our family’s passion for better living through food and sustainability.
Our teenage daughter, like the rest of our family, is a true foodie at heart. After watching a documentary about urban micro-farming in the California desert, she was inspired by the idea of creating a sustainable garden in our desert environment, much like the one featured in the show. We knew then that we wanted to embark on this journey together, learning how to grow food in the desert and sharing our experiences with others.
One of the core values of our farm is sharing. We are committed to giving any excess food we grow to our neighbors and showing others how they can grow food in their own backyards, no matter the climate. While we are not experts and are still learning, we hope to build a community where everyone can share their knowledge and experiences.
We also believe in the power of healthy, homegrown food to bring families together. We want to show others how to cook with fresh ingredients from their own gardens and create meals that are not only nutritious but also easy to share and enjoy with loved ones.
